BYD Song PLUS Champion Edition (EV) will be officially exported to overseas markets. The new car will be unveiled during the Munich Auto Show that opens in September and will be named Seal U. According to reports, this car will be BYD's sixth model launched in the European market. At present, BYD Han, Yuan PLUS (Atto 3), and Tang have been launched in Europe. Dolphin will be launched in July, Seal will be launched in September, and then Song PLUS Champion Edition (Seal U).

 

The length, width and height of the Champion Edition model are 4775mm, 1890mm and 1670mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2765mm. The overall design of the side continues the layout of the old model, but lacks freshness. The body adopts a three-section waistline design. The front and rear sections are connected to the wheel eyebrows, while the middle section adopts a straight-line design, which not only retains the sense of layering, but also makes the whole vehicle look slender. 19-inch two-color unique aluminum alloy wheels add to the sense of style. The tail is basically unchanged. The raised tail box design echoes the tail lights. The inline design below and the ladder-shaped rear surround create a more combative feeling.

 

In terms of power, all currently on sale are two-wheel drive models. The maximum motor powers are 218 horsepower and 204 horsepower respectively. The cruising range (CLTC working condition) is 520km and 605km respectively, while (WLTP working condition) is 420km and 500km respectively. According to French media reports, the starting price of the car in Europe will be less than 50,000 euros.

 

In terms of specific models, BYD Song PLUS Champion Edition is still the "backbone" of the brand, with sales reaching 40,165 units in September. BYD Seagull sold 40,092 units in September, and its monthly sales exceeded the 40,000 mark for the first time. The cumulative sales since its launch have exceeded 140,000 units.
